We CANNOT sit out this election

2020 has exposed the systemic pandemic of structural racism and inequity in the United States. The abysmal failure to handle COVID-19 also laid bare the tattered Presidency over the last four years that has prioritized sowing division and hatred; encouraged misogyny; trampled rights and aspirations of the poor and the marginalized; criminalized immigrants and migrant workers; bullied and belittled nation states, and international institutions; and pillaged the environment while ignoring the science.

Brought to the brink of the political precipice, TODAY we take the country back!

We VOTE because ENOUGH is ENOUGH

We VOTE because Black Lives Matter; immigrant rights matter; social, economic, and environmental justice matters

We VOTE to reject fascist policies and ideologies that threaten to tear our world apart

We VOTE because without justice there is no peace

Our work is not over with the elections. Beyond election day, we at the Oakland Institute will continue the struggle for systemic change to ensure human rights and dignity for all. We look forward to this journey together.
