We are horrified and outraged by the staggering levels of civilian deaths in Gaza and the West Bank as a result of carpet bombing, deliberate starvation, military invasion, settler violence, displacement, and other forms of collective punishment perpetrated by the Israeli government. Israel is in flagrant violation of international and human rights law.

The Oakland Institute stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people against this genocide and the over 75 years of oppression, occupation, and ethnic cleansing waged by the Israeli government, aided and abetted by billions of dollars in military aid from the United States.

Amid arrests, suspensions, harassment, and violence, we stand in full solidarity with students worldwide demanding that their universities divest from the Israeli apartheid.

The Oakland Institute calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and for an end to Israeli occupation of Palestine to ensure a long-lasting peace for all people.
