One month after tens of thousands of citizens stormed the palace of the Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who is now on the run after fleeing the country, The Oakland Institute and the Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative at the City College of New York invite you to a timely webinar focused on the struggle for justice in Sri Lanka. A Reckoning: Holding Perpetrators Accountable in Sri Lanka will take place on Tuesday, August 9th at 9AM PST/12PM EST.

Panel

Dr. Nimmi Gowrinathan, activist, writer, and scholar, is the founder of the Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative at the City College of New York.

Anuradha Mittal, Executive Director of the Oakland Institute, is the author of several reports on Sri Lanka.

Dr. Kate Cronin-Furman, Associate Professor of Human Rights at University College London, has been a human rights lawyer in New York, Cambodia, and The Hague.

Anushani Alagarajah, Co-Director of Adayaalam, works on public policy issues affecting the Tamil polity in Sri Lanka.
