Mimi Heft (she/her) is a presentation and communications graphic designer serving the nonprofit, science, and education sectors. Previously 20+ years in technology publishing, Mimi earned 17 awards for her work with Adobe and Peachpit Press, and was appointed to Pearson’s North America Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Advocates team, where she spearheaded the adoption of DEI practices in design and publicity.
In 2016, Mimi redirected her design prowess to benefit mission-driven organizations such as Global Energy Monitor, Smithsonian Learning Lab, Colorado State University, and the Wright Institute, as well as the arts, including Creativity Explored, Evander Music, and OneVoice CircleSing.
As of 2021, Mimi has been providing her multifaceted skills to the Oakland Institute in support of disseminating accessible, factual information. This is her contribution toward the Institute’s goals of building bridges, inspiring action, and empowering those who are working toward improving lives, saving the environment, and offering us all a better understanding of our planet and of each other.
