Future of Food: An Exploration of the Global Food System

The future impact of BIC countries on the global food system

High level seminar in Lausanne, 16-17 November 2011

While subject to intense pressure, our global food system also reveals new opportunities. Indeed, while (re)emerging powers such as Brazil, India and China generate strong demands on our food supply, these countries also create the potential for unprecedented solutions. To adequately respond to these challenges and opportunities, joint action is essential. Our upcoming Future of Food seminar will therefore focus on strategic dialogue with agrifood business CEOs and Board members and international decision makers from the areas of government, science and NGOs, with the objective of determining which actions should be taken, by whom and when. Internationally renowned speakers will contribute to the discussion, in which the outcome of November’s G20 meeting on food security in Cannes will also be incorporated.

When: 16-17 November 2011 - a working dinner with inspiring speakers on the 16th, and a full day seminar on the 17th. The seminar will take place the day before the IMD CEO Round Table.

Where: IMD Business School premises, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Registration fee: 890 euro, including working dinner, the full day seminar and an information package.
